Inventory Accuracy
The tool compares marketplace listing inventory against internal stock records so we can avoid overselling and keep listings accurate.
Application Purpose
This application is a private seller operations tool for Nekst Co. It supports internal stock control, marketplace listing accuracy, and operational record keeping across our own sales channels.
Limited Listing Updates
When a stock or price difference is detected, the tool updates only our own listing inventory fields needed for the affected SKU.
Operational Audit Trail
Each sync action is logged with the SKU, listing ID, requested change, outcome, and timestamp for internal review.
How the Tool Works
The workflow is designed to request only the minimum data needed for inventory management and to update listing data only when an actual internal stock or price change requires it.
Read listing inventory
Fetch listing ID, SKU, current quantity, current price, and listing status for our own shop listings.
Compare records
Compare marketplace values with internal inventory and price records maintained in QuickBooks and Google Sheets.
Update changed SKUs
For changed records, update the relevant listing inventory structure while preserving other variations in the same listing.
Verify and log
Record the API response and latest known quantity/price so the next run can avoid unnecessary updates.
Data Access and Use
The application is limited to seller operations for Nekst Co. It is used to maintain accurate stock and pricing records for our own business workflows.
Data Requested
- Shop listing identifiers needed to update our own listings.
- SKU, quantity, price, currency, and enabled/status fields.
- Listing inventory variation structure required to safely update SKU inventory.
- API response status and timestamps for internal operational logs.
Data Stewardship
- Access is limited to authorised Nekst Co. personnel.
- Records are retained only as needed for inventory operations, troubleshooting, and audit history.
- API credentials are stored privately and are not embedded in public client-side code.
- Operational logs are reviewed to identify failed updates and correct inventory issues quickly.
Security and Access
Access is restricted to the business owner and authorised colleagues responsible for inventory operations. API credentials are kept private and are not published, embedded in public client-side code, or distributed to customers.
